Quick Doc Coder: Using Text Mode
- The user scans a batch of documents and converts them to text files with an OCR program.
- Quick Doc Coder opens the folder containing the document files and displays them one at a time.
- As Quick Doc Coder displays each scanned/OCR'd document, the user selects from lists the Patient Name, Report Type, Report Date, Provider, and optional DotCodes/Text.
- Quick Doc Coder then creates the Dot Codes header for the document.
- The next report is displayed and the user again selects from the lists. This process is continued until all documents are coded.
- The document text files are saved into a single file that is loaded using the Patient Records Text Data Loader. This automatically loads the notes into the appropriate chart section of each patient chart.
