Quick Doc Coder: Using Image Mode
- The user scans a batch of documents into any Patient Records supported image format (tiff, pdf, pcx, etc.) using scanning software.
- Quick Doc Coder opens the folder containing the document images and displays them one at a time.
- As Quick Doc Coder displays each scanned document, the user selects from lists the Patient Name, Report Type, Report Date, Provider, and optional Dot Codes/Text.
- Quick Doc Coder then creates the Dot Codes and PLink(s) in a text file.
- The next report is displayed and the user again selects from the lists. More Dot Codes and Plinks are added to the text file. This process is continued until all documents are coded.
- The PLink text file is saved and then loaded using the Patient Records Text Data Loader. This automatically creates notes with Plinks to each document, in the appropriate chart section of each patient chart.
