The doctor-patient relationship is a privileged one. We do not give out information about adult patients to other family members. For this reason, whenever possible it is best for the patient to call for test results or questions. Additionally, Pennsylvania law protects confidentiality of teens in certain aspects of their care (sexuality and STDs). If you wish a family member to discuss your medical care or test results, you may bring them along for the visit or sign a release of information in the office.
